Nuheart Heartworm Tablets

Nuheart is a monthly heartworm preventive tablet for dogs. It is the generic version of Heartgard but cost-effective than the original treatment. It contains the same ingredient as Heartgard - Ivermectin, with the same dose. Recommended for puppies at least 6 weeks of age, this oral tablet is a highly recommended treatment for heartworm prevention in dogs. It is very easy to administer due to its meat flavor property that makes dogs easily accept the tablet.

How To Use

Before commencing the treatment, test your dog with prevailing heartworm infestations
Weigh the dog and then opt for the pack size according to his weight.
This oral tablet needs to be administered directly into the mouth of the dog.
If the dog resists taking the tablet orally, then dissolve it in water and mix it in the dog food and ensure the entire food is consumed.
For continuous protection, administer Nuheart on a monthly basis throughout the year for comprehensive protection against heartworms.

Safety

Caution:Collies including Border Collies and other breeds have genetic intolerance to Ivermectin. Those pet owners with Collies and other susceptible breeds should look for alternatives to Ivermectin for the treatment of parasites.

Nuheart Monthly Heartworm Prevention

Generic Heartgard Nuheart, a Pharmachem product is one of the most cost-effective options to prevent heartworm infections in dogs. This treatment is safe for all breeds of dogs apart from collies and other related herding breeds. For total protection from heartworms, ensure that the monthly dose of the treatment is not missed. If you do forget, commence it as soon as you remember. But if the gap has been more than a month between the treatments, then take the recommendation of the veterinarian before commencing the dose again. This oral treatment is available in three different sizes for small, medium and large dogs.

Ivermectin is the active ingredient present in Nuheart which is effective in preventing heartworm larvae from fully maturing into adult heartworms. It gets rid of the heartworm larvae that infected the dog during the preceding month. Thus, it aids in preventing heartworm disease from infecting the dog.

To give my Charlie a heartworm preventive I would prefer Nuheart treatment as it is same as Nexgard spectra but at a cheaper price

what are the active ingredients and amounts in the 26-50 pound and the 51-100 pound nuheart

Nuheart contains ivermectin as the active ingredient. The dosage for 26-50 lbs dogs is 136ug ivermectin and for 51-100 lbs dogs is 272ug ivermectin.

I have two dogs that are about 23 LBS and one at 32LBS. Can I buy the 24 to 50 LBS for them all?

Nuheart for Medium Dogs 26-50lbs (Green) is suitable for dogs that weigh between 26-50lbs. For dogs that weigh 23lbs, you need to buy a dose for Small dogs up to 25lbs.
